expert outside Japan, Robert Haynes, has seen
this Koshirae and stated the pieces are genuine
and Juyo quality.
Both Koshirae and sword blade were submitted to
Shinsa and each received the large NTHK
Kantei-Sho Appraisal Origami.
The Fuchi /
Gashira, signed "Mitsuaki" is either H 05132.0
Goto Mitsuaki (D. ca 1850) or more probably H
05133.0 Mitsuaki student of Goto Seijo (D. ca.
1700).
Regardless
of opinions, these are outstanding
Fuchi/Gashira.
