               The strength of YAMASHIRO RYOKAI slowly dropped 
               away with time. 
               Note:BUZEN and BUNGO were common stepping-stones 
               for smiths of this school. See BUZEN RYOKAI

        Transferred from YAMASHIRO to BUNGO. His father was 
        student of RYOKAIs' son, HISANOBU. TSUKUSHI (KYUSHU) 
        RYOKAI style traveled without passport. HADA: SHIRA-KE
        KO-ITAME with thin JI-NIE veil. KO-NIE SUGUHA. 
        GUNOME-MIDARE HA with SUNAGASHI.

NOBUMITSU EI-KYO (f: YOSHISADA): From YAMASHIRO. BUZEN USA JU.
           MOKUME MASAME (NOBUKUNI influence). SUGU KO-MIDARE HA.



BUNGO TSUKUSHI RYOKAI YOSHIZANE(1) O-EI (f: YOSHISADA): TSUKUSHI (KYUSHU) RYOKAI. Work from MEI-TOKU 1390 to O-EI 1394 in BUZEN and YAMASHIRO. ITAME HADA veiled in JI-NIE. HAMON: KO-NIE DEKI SUGUHA in the then waning style of the YAMASHIRO RYOKAI. HIDEYOSHI EI-KYO (f: YOSHIZANE): From YAMASHIRO. Followed his father. MOKUME with MASAME. SUGUHA and KO-MIDARE BA. YOSHINAO O-EI: KO-MIDARE BA. IYEYOSHI O-EI: Transferred from YAMASHIRO. IYEYOSHI BUN-MEI: RYOKAI SUKEDAYU. MOKUME with MASAME. SUGUHA and SUGU KO-NOTARE KO-MIDARE or GUNOME-MIDARE of KO-NIE vaguely resembling the fading KYO RYOKAI. Also signed YAMASHIRO JU. YOSHIHIDE EI-KYO: SUGUHA and GUNOME-MIDARE with SUNAGASHI. YOSHIMORI EI-KYO: SUGUHA and KO-MIDARE BA. NOBUYOSHI BUN-AN: MOKUME with MASAME. SUGUHA and KO-MIDARE BA. MASAYOSHI KO-SHO: From YAMASHIRO. MOKUME with MASAME. SUGUHA and KO-MIDARE BA.
