        HIDEKAGE was son of OSAFUNE SAN-SAKU, CHIKAKAGE of the 
        NAGAMITSU School, see NAGAMITSU. The 3rd, MUROMACHI 
        KYO-TOKU HIDEKAGE, was son of KOZORI HIDEMASA. 
        See KOZORI HIDEMITSU line. KO-ITAME HADA has OEI-style,
        standing BO-UTSURI. NIOI GUNOME-CHOJI MIDARE BA may show
        TOGARI.

        KA-KICHI 1441 to O-NIN 1467. MOKUME. KO-GUNOME and 
        KO-CHOJI MIDARE BA. Some are signed with the ICHIMONJI 
        designator, ICHI.

        who made swords in the style of his father. An O-EI 
        community member, the 2nd SHIGETSUNA is another of the 
        then working, great school smiths swept by the new Three
        MITSUs environment. Made OEI-style HIRA-TSUKURI TANTO and
        KO-WAKIZASHI of MOKUME HADA with BO-UTSURI, and KOSHI-
        HIRAKI GUNOME-CHOJI BA - the OEI mark. See CHOGI School

He is noted for a style change where early pieces are the narrow, and particularly well-shaped, classic TACHI SUGATA, showing a beautiful and flowing GUNOME-CHOJI MIDARE BA in NIOI. The O-EI wins him over in later work: distinct OEI style BO-UTSURI and the KOSHI- HIRAKI GUNOME-CHOJI ala the "Three MITSUs". Early MEI will be small, in two-characters. OEI BIZEN KIYOKAGE(2) O-EI: 1st KIYOKAGE was an OSAFUNE, TEI-WA 1345 smith. SAKA-ASHI MIDARE BA is associated to this name, but may be a KAGEMITSU influence to the earlier work of the 1st. BISHU OSAFUNE KIYOKAGE _________ CHIKAFUSA TEI-WA 1345 ___|_____ CHIKAFUSA O-EI 1394 CHIKAFUSA TEI-WA: descended from FUKUOKA CHIKAFUSA. GUNOME-CHOJI MIDARE BA. BISHU OSAFUNE CHIKAFUSA CHIKAFUSA O-EI: A note states he is the son of CHIKANORI. OEI- style GUNOME-CHOJI MIDARE BA.
